Could be a real network actually hides the problem by limiting data transfer speeds?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11384742711203790401noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935780327334775165.post-13213989392840979632007-11-24T11:38:00.000+09:002007-11-24T11:38:00.000+09:00What os. I suspected that when some queues are full, localhost network just drops the socket.

I imagine that the same would be possible for different machines, but with much more sockets. So: Catch those errors and retry, until the OS is happy. I imagine that that's what we were supposed to do anyway, and the kernel is based on that so it feels free to kill the sockets.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935780327334775165.post-50411113577776462782007-11-23T20:50:00.000+09:002007-11-23T20:50:00.000+09:00I get the same issue when running two different pr...I get the same issue when running two different processes.

Maximum sustained socket count is 15-20 sockets.Simon Wittberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02730025645144151014noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8935780327334775165.post-22001952345237623432007-11-23T19:54:00.000+09:002007-11-23T19:54:00.000+09:00What about the same test but between two different...What about the same test but between two different _processes_ on the same machine?Marius Gedminashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15155998626202067226noreply@blogger.com
